Purpose

Cabinet is recommended
to:
 

(1) 
Note the content and agree the Social Impact Report
2023-2024 and Social Value Annual Statement 2024 for
publication.

(2) 
Approve the Social Value Portal platform as a
Council wide tool for consistent impact monitoring & reporting
on all related social investment outcomes in Contracts, Capital
Delivery, S106, Revenue & Social Value.

(3) 
Note that the the key
highlights/findings recommendations from the report are:
 

·        
Substantial achievement in economic pillar of Social
Value: c200 sustainable job outcomes in the past 15months (with
total of 800 achieved in 3 years)

·        
Development of Social Investment Fund  and bespoke LBWF measure focusing on Council
emerging priorities & needs (redefined approach to cash
donation and in- kind contribution)
 

Content

Cabinet:

(1)         
approved the Social Impact Report 2023-2024 at Appendix 1 to the
report; and

(2)         
approved the Social Value Annual Statement 2024 at Appendix 2 to
the report.

 

Options & Alternatives Considered

Not producing the success of the social value accomplishments may
result in lack of transparency and national recognition of the
Council achievements in this area.
