Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education

To advise the Cabinet on religious worship and religious education within schools. To determine applications by individual schools for exemptions from the requirements of Christian worship. The membership of SACRE is includes five representatives of the Church of England; fourteen representatives of Christian and other religious denominations; six teacher representatives and any other persons co-opted by the body.
