Purpose

he County Council’s Cabinet is required
to formally consider any Public Interest Report issued by the
Ombudsman, and therefore Cabinet is requested to consider the
Report and to endorse the undertaking of the
recommendations.

That Cabinet
 
1)   
Considers the Public Report attached an Appendix A issued by the
Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman;
 
2)   
Endorses the recommendations of the Report concerning the phase
transfer process for children and young people with Education,
Health and Care Plans who are in receipt of “Education
Otherwise” packages or who attend
“all-through” schools; and”
 
3)   
Authorises the Executive Director for Children and Young People to
send the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman a written
response explaining what steps the Council has taken or will take
to comply with the recommendations of the Report.
