That Cabinet
1)
Approves the proposal to increase the capacity of Whitestone Infant
School (Nuneaton) from three form entry (270 pupils) to four form
entry (360 pupils) and recommends to Council the addition of
£5.523 million to the capital programme to deliver the scheme
at Whitestone Infant School. This will be funded by developer
contributions already received, education capital funding and, in
situations in which developer contributions set out in a Section
106 agreement have not yet been received, by forward funding by the
Council until contributions come in;
2)
Approves the proposal to increase the capacity of Chetwynd Junior
School (Nuneaton) from three form entry (360 places) to four form
entry (480 places) and recommends to Council the addition of
£3.222 million to the capital programme to deliver the scheme
at Chetwynd Junior School. This will be funded by developer
contributions already received, education capital funding and, in
situations in which developer contributions set out in a Section
106 agreement have not yet been received, by forward funding by the
Council until contributions come in;

Approves the following proposals for prescribed alterations at The
Avon Valley School (Rugby):
a)
to increase the capacity of The Avon Valley School by 300
places;
b)
to establish additional specialist resourced provision for up to 20
learners with SEND; and
c)
recommends to Council the addition of £31.000 million to the
capital programme to deliver the scheme at Avon Valley School. This
will be funded by developer contributions already received,
education capital funding and, in situations in which developer
contributions set out in an agreement have not yet been received,
by forward funding by the Council until contributions come
in;
4)
Approves the establishment of specialist resourced provision at
Race Leys Infant School (Bedworth) and approves the addition to the
capital programme of £0.068 million, funded by the High Needs
Provision Capital Allocation, to deliver the prescribed
alteration;
5)
Approves the establishment of specialist resourced provision at
Holy Trinity CofE Primary School (Stratford) and approves the
addition to the capital programme of £0.060 million, funded
by the High Needs Provision Capital Allocation, to deliver the
prescribed alteration;
6)
Approves the addition of £0.155 million to the capital
programme to deliver the scheme at Henry Hinde Junior School
(Rugby). This will be funded by developer contributions;
7)
Approves the addition of £0.078 million to the capital
programme to deliver the scheme at Atherstone Nursery School. This
will be funded by the DfE Childcare Expansion Grant; and
8)
Subject to Council’s agreement to the required additions to
the Capital Programme, authorises the Executive Director for
Children and Young People, in consultation with the Portfolio
Holder for Finance and Property, to carry out an appropriate
procurement process and then enter into all relevant and
appropriate contracts or (where the scheme is school led) to make
the necessary funding arrangements for these schemes on terms and
conditions considered acceptable to the Executive Director for
Resources.
