Purpose

The Office of Veteran Affairs is asking for
consortium bids to deliver VALOUR services and support to the Armed
Forces community. The legal entity for bid submission is the
Veterans Contact Point with Warwickshire CC as a key partner. Other
LAs included in the bid are Coventry, Solihull, Worcestershire and
potentially Herefordshire and Shropshire.

Decision

That the Portfolio Holder for Customer and
Localities
 
1.1 approves the Council joining the VALOUR
consortium bid being developed with the Veterans Contact Point
charity for the provision of VALOUR support and services across
Coventry, Solihull, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire
 
And,
 
1.2 supports the Veterans Contact Point (VCP)
on the implementation of any successful bid.
