Purpose

Seeking Full Council approval to present to
Full Council the addition of the Pears Centre to the Capital
Programme and that the funds from the Capital Infrastructure Fund
are allocated to this project.

That Cabinet
 
1)   
Recommends to Council the addition of £2.149m to the capital
programme to deliver the scheme at The Pears centre set out in this
report and to be funded from the Capital Investment Fund;
 
2)   
Approves the addition to the capital programme of £0.460m for
the establishment of an Alternative Provision as part of the Pears
Centre Refurbishment to be funded from the High Needs Provision
Capital Allocation; and
 
3)   
Subject to the approval of Council, pursuant to recommendation 1,
authorises the Executive Director for Resources, in consultation
with the Portfolio Holder for Finance and Property, to undertake
any required procurement activity and to enter into any agreements
necessary to implement this decision on terms and conditions
considered acceptable to the Executive Director for Resources.
