The Regulatory Committee authorised the grant of planning permission for the proposed extension of Avon Valley School, demolition of a modular classroom, and associated works on 30/06/2026. This included the grant of planning permission for the proposed extension of the main school building, demolition of modular classroom with uses to be incorporated within an extended former caretaker’s house, together with associated car parking, landscaping and ancillary works.

The Portfolio Holder for Customer and Localities approved the commencement of public consultation on ceasing to externally commission an equalities service on 22/05/2026. This authorises the Executive Director for Resources to finalise consultation details and undertake the exercise. The consultation will inform a final Cabinet decision on the future of the service.
