About
West Northamptonshire Council is operating a Leader and Cabinet model form of Executive Arrangements. This means that the Council will elect a leader from among the members of the Council. The Executive will consist of the Leader and at least 2 other members and not more than 9 other members. The Cabinet exercises all of the Council’s executive functions, receives reports, referrals and recommendations from other Committees and formulates recommendations in relation to the budget and policy framework. The function of determining Executive Portfolios sits with the Leader of the Council and can be varied at the discretion of the Leader.
The Chair and Vice-Chair of the Council may not be members of the Executive
