Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Strategy 2026–2031 - A proactive and preventative care approach

Asset Transactions

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council authorised the Assistant Director Assets & Environment, in consultation with others, to transact several asset transactions. These included the surrender and re-grant of a lease for land at Browns Road, Daventry, the freehold disposal of Long Buckby Library and Milton Malsor Village Park to their respective parish councils, and the freehold disposal of other land parcels. The Cabinet also approved a revised approach to retained rights over land transferred to town or parish councils.

Childcare Sufficiency Assessment 2025

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council approved the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment 2025 on 16/07/2026. The Council will proceed with publication and implementation of the assessment, with ongoing monitoring of equality impacts. Development of inclusive childcare places for children with SEND will be prioritised.

Affordable Housing Acquisition - Malabar site in Daventry

The Cabinet of West Northamptonshire Council on 09 June 2026 approved the use of the Housing Revenue Account Capital New Build Pool Budget for the Malabar Affordable Housing Opportunity. Authority was delegated to the Executive Director of Place, Economy and the Environment, in consultation with others, to enter into agreements with Crest Nicholson subject to due diligence and valuations. The decision agreed to note and approve budget use and delegate authority for agreements.
