About

The Taxi & General Licensing Sub-Committee is a temporary group of three members from the main Taxi & General Licensing Committee. It decides on applications for new, renewed, or reviewed taxi licences, including Hackney Carriage and private hire vehicle driver and operator licences. The sub-committee can also suspend or revoke these licences under relevant legislation, unless specific powers have been delegated to council officers. It also handles street trading licence applications when objections have been raised.
