The West Northamptonshire Schools Forum agreed to continue transferring 0.5% of funding from the schools block to the high needs block for 2026-27. They also agreed to balance schools' individual budget shares by applying a cap to year-on-year per pupil increases if necessary. The Forum further agreed with the growth added into schools' budgets for new and growing schools and the growth fund budget proposal to cover additional classes. They also agreed with the creation of a falling rolls fund and that this fund would be £0.5m from the schools block for 2026-27. The Forum supported the proposed central schools services block expenditure and agreed option 1 for trade union facility time de-delegation. They agreed with the continuation of the School Improvement Grant at £4.50 per pupil and the continuation of the redundancy fund at £4.00 per pupil. Finally, the Forum agreed to pass all the increase on 3&4 year old funding through the base rate for universal and extended hours, increase the pass through to providers to 97% of total budget for 3-and-4-year-old funding, and continue to pass through 97% of the total budget for under 2's and 2-year-old funding. They agreed to continue the deprivation supplement for 3&4 year-olds but did not agree with the introduction of a deprivation supplement for under 2's and 2 year old working and disadvantaged. The Forum agreed to increase the existing SENIF hourly rate by £2.00 and continue the current distribution of the ring-fenced part of the Maintained Nursery Schools grant.
