Purpose
The Cabinet will be asked to consider the
recommendations of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee following
the Committee’s scrutiny of the Council’s planning
enforcement and appeals processes.
Decision
Resolved:
That:
1.
The planning enforcement team provides six-monthly
performance updates to the Development Control
Committee.
2.
The planning enforcement team investigates whether
additional performance indicators can be included in performance
reports to the Performance and Audit Scrutiny
Committee.
3.
The planning enforcement team reviews the website
information to better explain the role of enforcement within its
regulatory and corporate policies and restrictions.
4.
The Development Control Committee continues to be
updated in relation to planning appeals.
5.
An information bulletin be sent to all Town/Parish
Councils on planning enforcement, which includes a link to the
online reporting form on the Council’s website.
