Purpose

The Cabinet will be asked to consider and
recommend to Council, proposed changes to West Suffolk
Council’s Gambling Statement of Principles which has been
subject to consultation. The Gambling Statement of Principles sets
out the Council’s approach to gambling licensing across the
district.
 
The Council is legally obliged to have regard
to the Statement when making decisions on licence applications or
reviews.

Recommended to Council: (17 December 2024)
 
That:
1.       The revised West
Suffolk Gambling Act 2005: Statement of Principles for Gambling for
the period 2024 to 2027, as contained in Appendix A to Report
number: CAB/WS/24/060, be agreed.
 
2.       The revised West
Suffolk Local Area Profile, as contained in Appendix B to Report
number: CAB/WS/24/060, be agreed.
