Purpose

The Cabinet will be asked to consider and
approve a new business plan for Barley Homes.  The business plan will also include a pipeline of
Council owned sites that have been identified for potential
development by Barley Homes.

Resolved:
 
That:
1.          
The creation of a Housing pipeline Investment fund of
£500,000, funded from the Strategic Priority and Medium Term Financial Strategy Reserve - to
underwrite the costs of obtaining planning permission on the nine
identified sites, generating a likely 91 units, be supported.
 
2.          
The principle of transferring public sector owned land at £1
plus overage (if planning costs are funded by West Suffolk, then
the land value will be adjusted to compensate), be supported.
 
3.          
The Barley Homes Business Plan
2025, attached at Appendix 1 to Report
number CAB/WS/25/061, be approved.
 
4.          
Discussions with other organisations on the acquisition and
delivery of identified sites in their ownership, be supported.
