About

The West Sussex Cabinet is responsible for making the most significant decisions about the council's policies and services, within the priorities and budget set by the full Council. It plans services to meet local needs, sets targets for council departments, and decides how the budget should be spent. The Cabinet also monitors departmental performance and proposes the Council Plan and annual budget for approval by the full Council, which determines the council tax. Key decisions, involving significant expenditure or impact on communities, are listed in the Forward Plan.
