Requesting additional budget for the
Luxborough final account.

Decision

The Cabinet Member for Regeneration and
Renters has approved:

The final account?agreed between WCC
and Wates Construction Limited of £11.25m, an increase of
£2.65m (31% increase) on the approved construction costs of
£8.6m in 2021/22. 

 

The additional?£2.65m spend on
the construction contract subject to being endorsed in line with
the Council’s Procurement Code and Financial
Regulations. 

 

A drawdown from the General Fund
Central Contingency within the approved capital programme to fund
the balance of £1.15m in 24/25. 

 

To note of the £2.65m
variance, £1.5m has already been budgeted for within the
23/24 Capital Strategy approved by Full Council in March
2024.
