Purpose

The Action Plan, which updates the one
published in 2021, sets out a range of actions to: improve
conditions and practices in the private rented sector; support
tenants and landlords, better understand the sector and improve
energy efficiency.

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Regeneration and Renters has approved the updated Private
Rented Sector Strategy 2021 – 2025 Action Plan and delegated
the decision to the Executive Director of Environment and
Communities to make minor amendments to the plan if required.
 
Reasons for Decision: A new short term
Action Plan is required to meet the aims and objectives of the
Private Rented Sector Strategy 2021 – 2025 as the previous
Action Plan has largely been completed, pending a fuller strategic
review once the national policy framework is clearer.
