Decision
Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Planning and Economic Development has approved the formal
adoption of the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy 2024-2030.
Reason for Decision: Westminster City
Council has a statutory obligation to produce a Local Flood Risk
Management Strategy. The previous LFRMS was for the period of
2017-2022. Since the last strategy, the council has made
significant progress in understanding flood risk across the borough
and in planning our response to future flooding incidents. The
council has also embarked on a delivery programme of Sustainable
Drainage Systems (SuDS) to relieve pressure on the combined sewer
system during extreme rain events. The new strategy has been
developed for the period of 2024-2030.
