Reasons for
Decision
The cost of living crisis has highlighted the
need for more support for low income families and households to
increase their income and reduce their debt. Advice services
provide a first level of intervention to prevent a rising debt
burden, and to ensure residents have the knowledge to access the
correct benefits they may be entitled to. These grant awards
will enable specific communities in Westminster to access advice
services in their native languages, will support more advanced
casework provision to enable organisations to resolve issues more
quickly, and will support the development of experienced resident
volunteers through to employment to get more local people into
work.
