Purpose

A Contract variation is required to the Health
Visiting Service (Healthy Child Programme 0-5) delivered by Central
London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH).   
 
The contracts commenced on 01/04/2022 for a
period of five years to 31/3/2027, with an option to extend for a
further two-year period.  
 
The variation is required to include new staff
with the focus on delivering the core elements of the 0-5 Healthy
Child Programme and core health visiting checks.

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Voluntary Sector has taken
the decision to approve a variation to the contract for Health
Visiting Services with Central London Community Healthcare NHS
Trust, following endorsement by the Commercial Gateway Review
Board, at a value of £1,006,749 for the period from
1st April 2025 to 31st March 2027. The value
of the contract for its initial five-year term (1st
April 2022 to 31st March 2027) will now be
£14,968,239. 
 
Reason for Decision: The contract
variation will cover the cost of six additional posts to increase
capacity to ensure the mandated checks are delivered and to move
towards more one-to-one support for families, and implementing the
Agenda for  change pressures related to
NHS pay increases, the scale of which was not known at contract
commencement and for which additional Public Health grant has been
awarded to the Authority.
