Purpose

The forthcoming report will seek approval to
use £100,000 of this for a bespoke round of CPP for Pimlico
(2025/26) and a further £100,000 to be added to the next
planned for CPP for Pimlico (2026/27).

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Communities has approved the use of £200,000 to run a
bespoke Community Priorities Programme for Pimlico North and
Pimlico South wards.

Reason for Decision: The
Fairer Westminster Plan committed the Council to ‘Place-Based
Approaches’. This includes a place-based approach for
Pimlico. The Pimlico Community Conversations took place during
Spring 2024. The highest priority identified from the Pimlico
Community Conversations was ‘Community Activities, Events and
Spaces’. It was agreed that the Council response to this
priority should include additional funding for the Community
Priorities Programme (CPP) for Pimlico, which mirrors the approach
taken with the North Paddington Programme, where additional funding
was added to CPP for specific wards.
