Details on how the council proposes to use its
allocation of the Household Support Fund between April 2025 and
March 2026

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Finance and Council Reform has approved each of the proposals
for the allocation of the £3,439,473 of Household Support
Fund as outlined in Section 5 of the Report and delegated
authority to the Executive Director of Finance and Resources to
flex each of the processes, including the level of funding
allocated and voucher amounts, to ensure the Household Support Fund
is fully utilised in line with its conditions.
 
 
Reason for Decision: The Council
receives an allocation of Household Support Fund from the
government which it is able to allocate according to government
guidance. The recommended approach set out in Section 5 of the
report considers the limited funding envelope and provides help to
those most at risk due to the crisis based on an analysis of need.
The approach also takes a balanced approach, providing a mixture of
crisis and preventative support.
