Decision
The Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care
Public Health and Voluntary Sector has approved the direct award of contracts for the
continuation of current contracts with four patch Homecare
providers in Westminster, as set out in the report entitled
‘Continued Provision of Homecare Services.’
 
Reasons for
Decision
These direct awards will enable the Council to
continue to fulfil its statutory duty under the Care Act 2014 to
ensure appropriate personalised care and support to meet the
individual assessed needs of Service Users, maximise independence,
focusing on choice and control for people in receipt of Homecare
and to ensure consistency and continuity of care, minimising
service disruption for vulnerable adults and younger adults with
disabilities receiving Homecare.
