Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Finance and Council Reform has taken the decision to approve
the contract extension and variation for delivery of legal services
to 11 suppliers, as set out in the report; and to approves the
contract variation of £5,000,000 (shared between all
participating local authorities) and the contract extension of 6
months to 7th January 2026.

Reason for Decision: The initial 3-year
term of the London Boroughs Legal Alliance solicitors framework ran
from 8th July 2022 to 7th July 2025, with one extension of up to 12
months available. Westminster City Council was and is the lead
authority. The reason for opting for a 6-month extension, as
opposed to the full 12-month extension, is due to the level of
spend to date under the framework and down to the re-procurement
that is currently in progress. The new contract will be in place
from January 2026.
