Summary of
Decision
The Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care,
Public Health and Voluntary Sector has approved the acceptance of
supplementary funding through the Drug and Alcohol Treatment and
Recovery Improvement Grant of £3,726,627 from the Office for
Health Improvements and Disparities (OHID) for 2025-26. The Cabinet
Member has also approved the plan for the application of the OHID
funding for the financial year 2025 – 2026 and has agreed to
the Council entering into individual grant agreements (or a
contract where indicated) with the organisations listed in the
report.   
 
Reasons for
Decision
Westminster has a well-established and high
performing substance misuse treatment system. This increased
provision will help deliver the national drug strategy and its aims
to ultimately reduce drug-related crime and prevent drug-related
deaths.
