Purpose

Proposals for the disposal of 7 affordable
homes constructed by the Council to Westminster Builds.

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Regeneration and Renters has approved the transfer of seven
intermediate rent homes at the Luxborough Street development to the
council-owned Westminster Builds so they can be let on assured
shorthold tenancies (ASTs).
 

Reasons for Decision: Intermediate rent housing is best
suited ASTs, a type of tenancy that cannot be offered by the
Housing Revenue Account. By disposing the homes to Westminster
Builds, they can be let on ASTs while ensuring the long-term value
of the homes is retained within the Council’s group.
