Purpose
The Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic
Development will consider the Sustainable Drainage Systems
(SuDS) delivery programme for the
2025/26 financial year.

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Planning and Economic Development has taken the decision to
approves the proposed approach to the next delivery phase of the
SuDS Programme and approve the drawdown of £1,645,000 from
the capital budget; and has delegated authority to the Executive
Director of Environment & Communities to approve final
allocations of these funds to individual projects, in consultation
with Finance
Reason for Decision: The council has
approved £3.7 million for SuDS delivery through the Capital
Programme Strategic Review?(CPSR) between 24/25 to 27/28.
Expenditure so far has focused on developing a strategy for SuDS
delivery, agreeing standard design processes and incubating SuDS
delivery within existing public realm schemes. The next phase of
this programme will see the delivery of standalone SuDS projects
which strategically target locations based on hydrological,
environmental and socio-economic priority, in addition to
continuing the delivery of SuDS as part of ongoing public realm
improvement works.
