Council approved the following recommendations:
 
RESOLVED:
 
1)
      That the
proposal to change the number of SRAs payable to the Discretionary
Housing Payments Panel from four to five be approved.
 
2)      
That the proposal to change the number of SRAs payable to the
Rating Advisory Panel from four to five be approved.
 
3)
       That the
amended Members’ Allowances Scheme for 2025-2026 be approved
with the effective date of 1 July 2025.
 
Reasons for decision:
 
The proposals to amend the
scheme were to enable a Special Responsibility Allowance to be paid
for an additional member to sit on the Discretionary Housing
Payment (DHP) Panel and an additional member to also sit on the
Rating Advisory Panel. Aside from these changes the Allowances
Scheme was based on the current scheme (including the levels of
SRA, basic and other allowances), which would remain the
same.
