Decision Taken:
 
The Executive Director for Regeneration,
Economy and Planning approved the Grant Agreement of £200,000
with Paddington Development Trust, for delivering the pilot project
to enhance employment outcomes for North Paddington residents
between
1st February 2024 – 31st January
2025.
 
 
Reasons for the Decision:
 
The decision is necessary to ensure the
effective management and allocation of the NPOP Fund.
 
The decision supports addressing high
unemployment and economic inactivity in North Paddington,
particularly in Queen’s Park, Harrow Road, and Westbourne
wards.
 
The initiative targets economically inactive
individuals, young NEETs, and diverse communities, aligning with
the council’s equality and inclusivity objectives.
 
The agreement ties funding to clear KPIs,
ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes in training and
employment for residents.
 
Paddington Development Trust has a proven
track record of delivering employment and skills projects, ensuring
confidence in achieving project goals.
