proposals to renew the designation for Additional HMO
licensing.

for Regeneration and Renters has approved the commencement of a
public consultation on proposals to renew the Additional HMO
Licensing Scheme for a further five-year period
 
Reasons for Decision: The current
scheme has led to significant improvements in housing conditions
and management standards across over 2,400 licensed HMOs.
Commencing consultation now allows for sufficient time to review
findings, prepare any formal designation, and ensure continuity
when the current scheme ends in 2026.
