business case submission for the re-development of Hopkinson
House.

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Regeneration and Renters has approved the Hopkinson House
Outline Business Case (OBC) and the preferred option it recommends
to deliver 31 residential units for temporary accommodation.
 
Reasons for Decision: The additional,
family-sized temporary accommodation units provided by this
refurbishment will help the Council to manage the rising demand for
this type of accommodation - which it has a statutory duty to
provide - driven by a rising private rental sector costs and rising
levels of homelessness in Westminster.
