continuation of the Highways Buildouts for Trees programme of
works.

Decision

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member
for Streets has approved the feasibility study, detailed design and
implementation for a tree planting programme in highways buildouts
in underused car parking spaces across several streets in
Westminster.
 
Reasons for Decision: This decision
will increase the number of trees across the borough, improving the
micro-climate, increasing biodiversity and the general streetscape,
and helping to meet the Council’s net-zero carbon emissions
targets.
