Purpose

The Cabinet Member will consider the Victoria
Neighbourhood Plan, recommended amendments and proceed to local
referendum on whether the plan should be adopted.

Decision

Decision Taken: The Cabinet Member for
Planning and Economic Development:
 
Approved the recommendations of the Examiner,
as set out in the Council’s Decision Statement and
Examiner’s Report.
 
Approved the Victoria Neighbourhood Plan, as
modified per the Examiner's Report, proceeding to dual local
referendums.
 
Approved that in accordance with the
Examiner’s recommendation, the referendum area be restricted
to the Neighbourhood Area designated by the Council on 4th
September 2013 as the Victoria Neighbourhood Area.
 
Approved authoring the Executive Director of
Corporate Services is to publish an Adoption Statement and formally
adopt the plan, in the event of a positive referendum result.
 
 
Reasons for Decision: Before a
neighbourhood plan can be adopted, it must first be subject to
local referendum within the Neighbourhood Area, as well as any
additional areas as considered appropriate by the Examiner. Before
this happens, the Council must publish a Decision Statement setting
out the actions it proposes to take in response to the
Examiner’s Report.
