Decision Taken: The Cabinet Member for
Children and Public Protection:
 
Approved the procurement strategy to appoint
Strategic Consultants to the Schools Capital Programme, by
conducting separate mini-competitions for each discipline under the
Crown Commercial Service Dynamic Purchasing System for Construction
Consultancy Services, for a period of two years with up to a
further two one-year extensions.
 
Delegated authority to the Executive Director
of Children’s Services, following consultation with the
Cabinet Member, to award individual call-off contracts under
£1.5m.
 
Delegated authority to the Executive Director
of Children’s Services, following consultation with the
Cabinet Member, to authorise the granting up to two one year
extensions to the contracts.
 
 
Reasons for Decision: The strategic
consultancy approach will support the Schools Capital Programme,
reduce administrative time and cost, and encourage competitive
proposals from consultants.
