Summary of Decision

The Cabinet Member for Climate, Ecology, Culture and Air Quality has approved a variation and extension to the contract for the management and maintenance of parks, open spaces and cemeteries with Krinkels UK Limited (Company registration number 02416889). The estimated value of the contract is £63.4 million excluding VAT (£76.1 c million, including VAT) for the period from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2029. The Cabinet Member has also delegated authority to the Executive Director of Environment and Communities to agree the terms of the variation and extension, if required.

Reasons for Decision

This decision will allow for the continuation of Westminster City Council’s statutory duties under the Public Health Act, Local Government Acts, and Environment Act. This will also allow a thorough review of the Operating Model options for the future contract from 2029 and, in parallel, deliver parks improvement programmes to better support the delivery of Fairer Westminster Delivery Plan objectives.
