Decision Taken: The Cabinet Member for
Climate, Ecology, Culture and Air Quality approved the extension of
the temporary toilet contract for a further two years, including an
additional Thursday night clean, as well as noting the
retrospective additional cleaning cost for the original 3-year
contract period.
 
Reasons for Decision: The service is
widely used, with some evenings collecting over 3000l of urine,
which might otherwise be on the street. Insights given to us by the
contractor show that the additional Thursday night is well used
with similar amounts of urine collected to the volumes collected on
Fridays.
