Council approved the following
recommendations:
 
The Lord Mayor put the
recommendations of the report to the vote and on a show of hands
declared the recommendations approved.
 
RESOLVED:
 
That Full Council
approved:
 
1)                
Formal delegation of its functions under the London
Squares Preservation Act 1931 and any Local Act requiring decisions
relating to planning and building control functions, to the extent
that these are non-executive functions, to the Council’s
Strategic and Planning Sub Committees; and
 
2)                
The amendments to the constitution provided in
appendix 1 of the report.
 
Reasons for Decision:
 
To formalise the approval of
delegation of functions under the 1931 Act and Local Acts related
to planning and building control and amend the constitution
accordingly.
