Purpose

Cabinet will consider the approval of a
strategy to improve night-time life, aiming for a safe, vibrant,
inclusive, and sustainable experience for various users. 

Decision

Cabinet approved the
following recommendations:

Approves the Westminster After Dark Strategy 2025-2040
(Appendix 1).

·      
Approves the accompanying Implementation Plan (Appendix 2).
 
Reasons for Decision
The WAD
Strategy and Implementation Plan is presented for approval
following extensive engagement and consultation with residents,
businesses, and key stakeholders across Westminster. The strategy
reflects the outcomes of this consultation and engagement activity
over a number of years, ensuring that it
is evidence-based, balanced and responds to community
priorities.
 
A decision
to approve the WAD Strategy and Implementation Plan will enable the
Council to move from strategy development to delivery.
