Decision Taken: The Cabinet Member for Adults and Health has approved the award of a contract to Carers Network Westminster for the provision of the Westminster Carers Service; approved a contract term of five (5) years (1 September 2026 to 31 August 2031) with options to extend by two further periods of two years each, up to a maximum of nine years (1 September 2026 to 31 August 2035); and approved expenditure of £3,605,744 over the full (up to) nine year contract. 

Reason for Decision: The Carers Service is essential to enabling Westminster City Council to meet its statutory responsibilities to identify, assess and support carers. The proposed contract will provide carers with access to information, advice, carers assessments, support planning, specialist support groups, peer support, wellbeing activities and preventative services designed to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities.
