Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration has approved the contracts, appointments and expenditure set out in the report in order to enable the Council to undertake necessary remedial works at Beachcroft arising from identified latent defects, and delegated authority to authorise legal expenditure.

Reasons for Decision: These approvals are necessary for the required remedial works to be carried out as quickly as possible - without which the lifespan of the building fit-out would be shortened and the living conditions of residents would be negatively affected - and for associated actions such as temporary decants and legal proceedings to be carried out as necessary.
