Reasons for Decision: The direct award is necessary to formalise a service which has been running out of contract since 1st May 2025. This has been due to several delays, linked to urgent priorities and using resources effectively, in developing a procurement process to award a new contract for this bi-borough service. A service review, consultation and remodelling have supported the now reprocurement now live. The direct award is needed to allow this statutory service to continue with a contract in place and the supplier to be paid.
