The Cabinet Member will consider the award of a contract for roaming security services at council- managed properties.

Summary of Decision: The Cabinet Member for Housing and Regeneration has approved the award of a contract for Roaming Security and Ad Hoc Waking Watch Services to The Way Forward Ltd and delegated authority to finalise, enter into and execute the contract and any associated documentation, including the exercise of any permitted contract extensions, subject to satisfactory performance.

Reasons for Decision: Awarding a single integrated contract for roaming security with ad?hoc waking watch capability enables the Council to: respond quickly and proportionately to emerging safety and fire risk issues; improve coordination across Housing Management, ASB and Fire Safety functions; provide a consistent and reassuring presence for residents; and achieve improved value for money through a single accountable supplier and unified performance framework.
