Summary of
Decision
The Cabinet Member for Children and Public
Protection has approved the recommendation to Full Council on 13
November 2024, that the current gambling policy is approved and
re-adopted for the next three-year policy period in accordance with
Section 349 of the Act.
 
Reasons for
Decision
As the majority of the limited number of
respondents to the consultation agree that the existing gambling
policy should be readopted and that the current policy is sound,
the Cabinet Member recommended that the re-adoption of the policy
should be recommended to Full Council for publication.  This will ensure that a decision can be been made
on readopting the current gambling policy by Full Council in
accordance with the statutory deadline of 30 January 2025.
