Purpose

This
report provides recommendations on the Summer 2024 applications for
funding from the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy
(NCIL).? 

Decision

Statement of
Decision: The Cabinet Member for Planning
and Economic Development has approved the following Neighbourhood
CIL bids, details of which are set out in this report:

Westminster
Place-Shaping - Greening Westminster, various projects (Outside
Neighbourhood Areas): WCC Place shaping
to be allocated £107,000 to supplement a funding deficit for
this year’s Greening Westminster Grant programme at three
pre-agreed locations.  

 

St Peters Eaton
Square (SPES) Primary School – Playground Resurfacing
(Belgravia): £32,580 to be
allocated towards the playground resurfacing
project.  

 

Westminster
Housing and Corporate Programme Management Office (CPMO) –
Green Afterschool Clubs (Mayfair): £24,016.40 towards the creation of two 'Green After-school
Clubs’ (ages 5 – 11 years) at two allotment
sites;

Reason for
Decision: To ensure robust and effective
expenditure and reporting in line with the Planning Act (2008) and
the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended) and
in accordance with the Council’s strategic priorities, the
revised CIL Spending Policy Statement (2022), and the
Council’s frameworks for resource allocation and
management.
