The Adults, Children and Health Overview and Scrutiny Panel examines the development of the Council's plans and strategies, scrutinises reports presented to the Cabinet, and holds the Cabinet accountable for its decisions. It also considers local issues affecting the Royal Borough and its communities, and can hold partner organisations to account.
The panel has the power to 'call-in' decisions made by the Cabinet or individuals exercising executive powers. Any Councillor can attend its meetings, and Cabinet Members and Executive Directors are expected to attend when their reports are being discussed.
