About

The Place Overview and Scrutiny Panel examines and makes recommendations on the Council's plans and strategies, scrutinises Cabinet decisions, and holds the Cabinet to account for its actions. It also considers local issues affecting the Royal Borough and its communities, and can hold partner organisations to account.

The Panel has the power to 'call-in' decisions made by the Cabinet or individuals exercising executive powers. Any Councillor can attend its meetings, and Cabinet Members and Executive Directors are expected to attend when their reports are being discussed.
