To go out to tender for the procurement of a
new grounds maintenance contract

Reasons for the decision

In order to continue to deliver a Grounds
Maintenance service and ensure value for money for the Authority
linking with the Council's priorities.

Alternative options considered

Insourcing some or all operational activity in
the contract; Splitting the contract into lots based on activity
type; and Splitting the contract into lots based on geographical
area. Rejected due to being financially unviable
