To award the grounds maintenance contract to
the preferred bidder.
The new contract will commence on 1st October 2026 and is for an
initial period of 5 years, with two five year extension
periods.

Reasons for the decision

The award of this contact helps to support the
vision to put the council on a strong financial footing to serve
the borough effectively by providing a contract with strong KPIs
and performance measures. It will also support the council plan
objective of a cleaner, greener, safer and more prosperous borough
through protection and improvement of green spaces, which will be
managed effectively through this contract.
