To award contract for continued provision of
community transport services in the borough – specifically,
ShopMobility and Dial A Ride services.

Reasons for the decision

The contract will be for 2 years, with an
optional 1 year extension. A decision to direct award the contract
is the result of a market engagement exercise identifying only one
interested party in taking on the contract.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing – the provision of
ShopMobility and Dial A Ride services in the borough would cease,
leaving many residents with reduced mobility or no access to public
transport without independent access to everyday shops and
services.
