for the works.

To appoint J Brand Ltd as the main contractor
for the programme of school lighting upgrades.

Alternative options considered

Alternative tenders could have been approved,
but the tender exercise found that J Brand Ltd were the best value.
The do nothing option would mean not appointing a contractor, and
lighting upgrades would not be carried out. This would leave
schools with old, inefficient and expensive lighting.
